I hope this post provides some useful information on the 12" piston LMT, looks like there isn't much out there. The suppressed position on LMT piston barrels was designed for use with "tradional" higher back pressure supressors. The people in the video may have decided that the normal gas setting worked better with that particular can.

The biggest difference was running them suppressed. The Shovelnose flipped to the suppressed setting runs so smoothly and the ejection pattern is essentially unchanged. The Specwar runs around 1-2 o'clock with an H1 and around 3 o'clock with an H2. It also has noticeably more gas in the face, at least for a lefty (cross-dominant) shooter like me.
